OBS is my go-to tool for both recording and streaming. Loads of built-in functionality and plug-ins created by users.

One tool that can make a real difference in cancelling out background noice is the Nvidia Broadcast app. It is very good at taking out fans, some background noise, and while it sometimes makes erroneous classifications, it is often easy to overhear these and make a second recording on the spot.

There are plenty of tools out in the wild for fine-tuning microphones and their recordings. All of these can replace tools such as Nvidia broadcast - most are however way to advanced for most users.

Dynacaster SE microphone, screenflow where I remove all noise and turn up the volume to 250%. I haven't tried OBS although I have heard it is quite good.

The Shure SM57 mic, Vocaster one USB audio interface, and sound absorption panels finally made it all good for me.

also, I use Behringer c1 and c2 microphones. People generally think that they have to spend more for audio gear, but that's not true at all….I have seen many musicians using Behringer mics, as well as mixing engineers. Most of the known audio brands overprice their products because they know enough people will buy them, thinking that spending more means 'it sounds better' or 'it's higher quality'. The Behringer mics mentioned are all solidly built and the sound quality is totally comparable to more expensive mics….saves more money for your video setup, software needed or whatever
