My course is US$19.99 and I'm not in the Udemy Deals Program. Why is my course being sold for US$9.43 and I get only US$2.86 in net revenue????

OK so the answer from Udemy is. In a nutshell we are depending on the country where the purchase is made and the currency and exchange also the country's market condition. So for example a US$19.99 course purchased by a US student, the US student will pay the full US$19.99 after all the fees the instructor will pocket around US$7.00 In my case a student from India, the same US$19.99 course because of market condition the student will pay US$9.43 with exchange and fees the instructor will pocket around US$2.00 If I'd be Udemy I would just use one currency in USD. I mean $2.00 for a course that took over a month to create is brutal!

I have been in the same situation. The net amount I get after deducting everything is around $1, sometimes even less than $1.

It's brutal! Udemy really need to adopt 1 currency across the board. It's too bad but I had to increase my courses to tier 3 It sucks for US students but I just cannot sell myself short for $2.00

Welcome to Udemy….where your efforts are worth .01 for every $1 of effort you put into it all.

I'm with you. I've calculated my time would be better at Taco Bell making tacos.

    Hi @Marty_Prem,

Sorry to hear you're having some trouble with the pricing of one of your courses, I know that can be frustrating.

In this case, the best thing to do is reach out directly to our Instructor Support team. You can click here, and on the right-hand side of the page, you'll see a "Contact Us" button. Just click that, and you’ll be able to submit a ticket so our team can take a closer look and help you out.

Thanks for your understanding, I’m sure they’ll get it sorted for you!

    All the best,

You should wait until that 1.5$ student start asking you lot of questions and leave a 1 star review.

@FettahBen I got a few of those. most of my courses are 4.7ish. Then boom 1 star just to make your rating crumble! Or getting comments on spelling mistakes! Which is impossible in 2025 if you have a computer to make spelling mistakes!
