Why is my course showing $34.99 when I set it to $19.99?

Hello everyone,
I recently published a new course and set the price to $19.99 in the instructor dashboard. However, on the course landing page, it's displaying as $34.99. I'm not sure why there's a difference. Could someone explain what's causing this?
Thank you for your help!

Hi @LeoLau,
Thank you so much for your post, and congratulations on publishing your first course. That’s a big milestone!
I know pricing can be a bit tricky at first, so please allow me to give you a quick overview: If you're opted into the Deals Program, Udemy sets price ranges based on your course’s actual sales data, not the list price you choose. If your course tends to perform better at a higher price, the system will move in that direction. If it converts better at a lower price, it will adjust accordingly.
Prices can also vary depending on the type of sale, the audience, and the market. For example, new user offers, regional promotions, or events like Black Friday may all display different prices for your course.
Also keep in mind that paid courses will not be discounted as part of a Udemy promotion for the first 14 days in certain countries like the United States, France, Japan, and Turkey, after they are published in the marketplace.
You can learn more in our Help Center article here.
Just a note: You can opt out of the Deals Program at any time, as instructors can still participate in the Udemy marketplace without joining our promotional programs. This means you'll be able to set your own course price, but your course won’t be included in any new discount campaigns after you opt out and won’t be promoted through Udemy’s marketing channels.
Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
