Do i need to create a video on first time course creation

Hi everyone,
I’m new to Udemy and just created my instructor account. I’m planning my first course and I’m wondering:

Is it a requirement to create video content, or can I publish a course using text-based lessons or other formats?

If video is required, what’s the minimum length or type of video Udemy accepts for new instructors?

Any advice or tips from experienced instructors would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

Absolutely. I think the minimum is 30 minutes.

I believe Udemy students for the most part expect video content.

You are asking about "minimums". You are wasting your time if you are trying to do the minimum. Why not ask "what works best", or "what will be most likely to attract the most number of students?"

Udemy is a video format. Study the best selling courses in your category and try to do better than them.
