Hi,
I have my first course published few days ago.
Sql Zero to Hero - Learn Database Skills from Scratch
It seems quite fine in desktop.
I have two major problems.
1.
Most of the course has synthesized speeches.
I used power-point video creation for the courses.
It seems udemy has kind of algorithm that make my voice noisey, and sometimes the video itself.
I used a script to convert my mp4 video with audio - make it mono, and few fixes for voices and video.
Video is fine - no problem with little ticks, but audio (you can hear the free preview lectured I enabled for the course) - as much as I did, I couldn't succeed makeing for mobile as it is good as on the desktop. It is noticable on mobile (ticks, delays, breaking voice, and distorts - sometimes - Not too much, but noticable).
Also, when changing script, as far as I understand, there is a temporary low-accuracy version to mobile (that mobile will have something), and after few hours, the good accuracy version in mobile is fixed.
The assignments must be on computer (it is sql course - need an enviroment sometimes. It is barely can be on mobile alone), so I don't know whether it is matter so much do a good audible video, and waste lot of efforts for making it good in mobile.
2.
How to market the course, and not make it zero profitable.
Seems students see the rate, and with low rate they won't like to enrole the course, but how can I get first rates anyway for the new course and make it much more popular.
