I know this year has been tough but share your ideas for 2026, tools, courses, themes, plans!
It would be nice to know if there will be a Udemy in 2026 and if so what are the changes after the coursera/udemy merger. For example a new instructor contacted me saying he has created 30% of a course and doesn’t know if it is worth continuing the process. Now assuming Udemy continues to exist I will create new courses but at a slower rate compared to last year. I also want to spend some time updating some of my previous courses. Regarding tools I’m using the same editing software, mic, etc.
I think it's not the right time for new ideas. As the saying goes: "Do you have the patience to wait till your mud settles and the water is clear?"
Unless you're asking for New Ideas because of the Acquisition ? In which case, it's too soon, as Boris said. We have no idea how its going to go etc.
This person is me. So why RonErez? I'm also his student in his software classes. And I really don't know. Just when I thought YouTube was going to take center stage, I learned that they stopped selling courses with a single payment in October. Apparently, YouTube is even going to refund old purchases.
Thank you again Ron
In my opinion, for 2026, Instructors have to sell their courses on their websites. You must do what Udemy does for you (marketing). Then Udemy becomes another source of income (especially from the UFB program). Don't expect much by just preparing your course and uploading it to Udemy.
Remember, the best-selling course is the one that has the best marketing, not the best content.
