As a new instructor, I've already created my course, but when I tried to submit it for review, I was prompted to complete the identity verification. I have already submitted my documents, but there is no way to check the verification progress, which isn't very user-friendly.
Although the stated wait time is 2-3 days, people are accustomed to the speed of other platforms. Many platforms conservatively estimate 2-3 days but actually approve applications in just a few hours. Because I'm unfamiliar with Udemy's typical pace, I find myself checking my status every day. Without a specific progress dashboard, trying to submit my course simply triggers the 'authentication required' prompt again. I'm worried that trying to verify again might reset my pending application.
It would be amazing if Udemy could add a verification progress dashboard! This is just a suggestion from a newcomer who really likes Udemy, not a complaint about the platform being flawed.
