First course marketing.

Hello all, I’m excited to be part of this community! I recently published my first Linux course on Udemy, but so far, I haven’t had any sales. I am a novice in the world of marketing; I don't even use Facebook for handling distractions. So I don't have too much reach on the social media as well
Now could you share what strategies worked for your first courses? Should I focus on discounts, free coupons, or social media promotion first?

I would try to share paid coupons. I think free coupons are a bad idea. I've had no success on Facebook. You could try LinkedIn or reddit. I'm not too good at the social media aspect. Just be careful not to get banned for self-promotion. Almost all of my sales come directly from Udemy. One thing that is helpful is if you have more than one course and then cross-promote between courses.

I'm sure there is marketing content somewhere in the instructor community.
