Topic selection is the most important choice, but when it comes to quick fixes - I'd have to go with optimizing your course image and promo videos. Make sure they stand out (in a good way.)

Also make sure your course is structured to have a "quick win." Most learners leave a review pretty early on in the course, and you want to ensure they have some sort of sense of accomplishment or growth before that point. Your first few lectures matter more than anything, so make them as good as they can be.

When you say “quick win,” do you mean giving students a small practical result they can achieve within the first few lectures?

Ideally yes - have them actually build something small right away. That's not always practical for every topic though, so at a minimum be sure to give them a valuable, actionable insight right up front.
