Marketing in secret

Hi there!

I'm so excited to get started with my first course here on Udemy and to be a part of the community.

One challenge I'm struggling with now since I launched my course is how to reach potential students without shouting out loud on LinkedIn to your whole network. I don't want my employer to think thay this side thing affecta my work performance.

How have you guys done it?

If you don't want to promote it publicly to your entire LinkedIn network, you could start with more targeted approaches:

* Share it privately with people who are genuinely interested in your course topic.
* Participate in relevant LinkedIn or professional communities where your target learners already engage.
* Optimize your course title, subtitle, description, and other discoverability elements so people can find it organically.
* Create useful content around your course topic instead of directly promoting the course in every post.
* Use your Udemy instructor tools, such as referral links and coupons, when appropriate.

You don't necessarily need to make a big announcement to your entire network. A more targeted approach can help you reach the right audience while keeping your course separate from your workplace identity.
