Handling external software changes
How do those of you who develop lectures on software apps handle upgrades to those apps?
My Video Memories course uses screencasts of the Shotcut video editor in the technical sections of the course. The developer warns that a cosmetic change to one of the icons will occur in a future Shotcut release.
The icon appearance does not change the function of the software, and my lectures warn of this upcoming change. But when this change occurs, my screenscast's desktop will differ from the software's desktop my students will encounter.
I'm reluctant to delay publishing my course awaiting this Shotcut release.
How do you handle course impacts outside your control?
