Best software for drawing diagrams for Engineering course

I am preparing a course in Mechanical Engineering. I have been working as a teacher in Engineering. I have hand made notes. I am getting them typed on per page basis. This would help in preparing presentations and handouts for the course. But there are lot of diagrams. Could anyone suggest me a methodology to go about the diagrams, best software to draw them, or to use a pad and electronic pen to draw them live during the course video. Any tips and tricks for me for the process described above. Thanks.

    you can use Dia diagram Editor or Lucid Chart Software , both are free ,
