Just curious to learn about people’s experiences with learning. I think if we are solving a problem through the curriculum we offer, this will add value and engage students. Looking forward to hear your thoughts and reflections.
The class that stands out to me was an upper level Sociology class that I took in college. The instructor was from Ethiopia and his name was Dr. Jalata. He had a boldness and was not intimidated to confront us about lack of participation. When we met in small groups, the students shared, were vulnerable and we learned. People talked about their bias and how they were beginning to understand themselves better. That is what made the class memorable even 30 years later.
Great post @Alexia, bumping to see if other instructors can share their experience!
Thank you @Bella
