I use Screenflow but quite frankly it is too expensive. I’ve heard many people recommend OBS which is free and supposed to be very good. Davinci Resolve is also recommended and I believe it’s free. One very important point is to have a good microphone.

I use Camtasia 2022 on Windows 11.
A good microphone is essential.
I use an Audio-Technica AT2040USB Dynamic USB Microphone.
Next, you need to decide whether to use talking-head videos or not.
Students seem to like them. You can upload cellphone video and merge everything together in Camtasia.
"Everything" that you merge might include PowerPoint slide recordings, screencasts and music.
