What has been your most difficult experience while creating a course, and how did you overcome it?

I started creating this course in October, and one of my biggest challenges was designing the course landing page. I struggled to adapt the images to fit the layout and message I wanted to convey. I revised and redesigned them several times before I was satisfied with the final result. It took me ages to figure it out. I watched video. Re-attempted. Repeat.

The experience taught me the value of patience, persistence, and continuous improvement. Each revision brought me closer to a better outcome.

One of my biggest difficulties while creating this course is organizing my knowledge into a clear structure that beginners can easily follow. Sometimes I have many ideas and I'm not sure what to include or what order to teach them in.

To overcome this, I create a course outline before recording, break the content into small lessons, and focus on teaching one concept at a time. I also review other successful courses in my niche to learn how experienced instructors structure their content.

Another challenge is self-doubt because I'm new to course creation. I overcome it by remembering that learners don't need a perfect instructor—they need someone who can help them solve a problem and learn a skill.

😊Besides the many challenges that come with course creation, one of my biggest struggles has always been creating modern, custom presentation slides.

What I've learned over the years is that the way a course starts is rarely the way it ends. As you develop the content, new ideas emerge, learners request additional topics, better examples come to mind, and entire sections may need restructuring. Because of that, creating slides with many traditional presentation tools can become frustrating, especially when you need to make significant changes multiple times throughout the development process.

For technical courses, the challenge is even greater. Many AI-powered presentation tools are excellent for creating visually appealing slides for general topics, but technical training often requires detailed process flows, system architectures, database relationships, application walkthroughs, and highly specific visual illustrations that are not always easy to generate or modify.

After a lot of trial and error, I found myself returning to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript-based presentations. They require more effort upfront, but they give me the flexibility and control to adapt content as the course evolves without feeling constrained by templates.

Thankfully, that challenge is largely behind me now. The experience taught me that sometimes the best solution isn't the easiest one—it's the one that gives you full control over your creative process. And there is something satisfying about building your own presentation framework and knowing you can adjust it whenever the course needs to grow.
