Audio during or after content creation for software-related courses

Hello All!

I'm a software dev with 25+ years of experience in the industry.  I'm working on my first two courses and had a question for the group.   As I'm demonstrating coding during my initial recordings, I'm finding it hard to concentrate on the task at hand plus all the commentary.   Has any one taken the approach of recording the sessions then dubbing in audio later?
