Conversion tracking

Go to solution

Dear instructors,

I have watched (old) video courses about teaching on Udemy and it seems like Udemy used to support Google adWords conversion tracking. But not anymore? Is there any way to enable this?

Best regards,
dr Jonas Birch

Hi @dr-Jonas Udemy’s Google Analytics and Adwords integrations are no longer available for users. In order to make ourselves compliant with user privacy rules (in part due to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law in the EU), it’s true that Udemy had to deprecate our Google Analytics features for instructors.

With the Performance Feature we know we can’t duplicate exactly what Google Analytics was able to do. However, there are more improvements planned for the Traffic and Conversion section (giving more detail about the traffic source of external visits). We also think there are useful insights only Udemy can provide, regarding which topics your enrolled students are interested in.

We’re also happy to pass on any recommendations to our product team about features that you feel could be improved, so please don’t hesitate to give us feedback about what we can add.
