How long does it usually take to make your first sale?

Hey Udemy Creators!

I hope you are doing well. I have placed my first course on Udemy a couple of days ago and I haven't gotten any enrollments yet. From my side, I have promoted the course on all my social media platforms, e-mail list, etc. Also, I created a BLACKFRIDAY coupon. However, I haven't had any type of success yet. 

According to your experience, how long does it usually take to make your first sale? Just curious!

Also, does Udemy promote your courses as well?

It can be 0 or ∞.

I think my first sale was 4 or 5 days from launch, first month maybe $80, 2nd $135, ...

Each instructor and course is unique, we really can't answer that question.

I agree with Thor. My first sale was in the same month, but may be after many days. I made $16 in that month. Next month was nothing. It picked up slowly and steadily.
