Quality Review Process: notice on wait times

Go to solution

Hi everyone,

We've seen a recent spike in new courses submitted for review, leading to longer waiting times when publishing new courses. The Quality Review team is working on serving these requests as quickly as possible, but we may not be able to review all courses within the usual window of 2 business days.

We appreciate your patience during this time.

I submitted mine on 28th April and nothing yet. Eagerly waiting for any information.

Do they send a mail once they start reviewing or it just goes live all of a sudden?

And if they do, how much time does it take post such a mail?

Go to solution

Hey @Manan904to check the status of your course, go to the Instructor Dashboard. A label will appear showing if your course is Live, In Review, Submitted for Review, or Needs Fixes. The Quality Review Team will give feedback on the course feedback page, and they will inform you whether the course has been approved, or if it requires fixes.  If the Quality Review Team does not identify any required fixes, your course will be live and published in the marketplace.

This article shows how you can view the review team’s feedback, and how you can mark required changes as fixed or respond to the review team directly.

You will receive an email when your course is done being reviewed, which will include a link to your course dashboard, where you can see feedback.

Check out this support article for more info about our Quality Review Process.

Hope this helps!

I see there is a delay in review processes. My test video has been in the queue for 15 days and still no review. Is this normal or has it somehow slipped through the cracks? Many thanks..

Hey @SaadSaleem, 15 days seems unexpected. Please reach out to instructorsupport@udemy.com and feel free to ask for an update on your test video review.

**LIVE as of 21:12 (UK time) on 9th May - so 5-6 days seems to be about right at the moment**

**Course went to IN REVIEW about an hour ago (approx 16:30 on 9th May), cautiously optimistic this will be approved today**

Hi @Abbie

I submitted a course early hours on the 3rd May (03:30 UK time) and wondered how long it would take to review, it's been around 4 days or so, but the course is only a 30 minute one, just trying to work out if it would be this week or whether the review is likely to be completed on Friday or earlier.

Thanks,

John

Hello Abby,

Thank you for your feedback, how will a new instructor know if thier course was approved or not?

Hi @RegNel Since the team is dealing with a backlog, we are suggesting instructors wait up to 15 days for test video feedback.

@Abbie @ElianaC Earlier this morning I received a mail from Udemy that the courses are approved. Earlier the courses were made private(Invitation only). I have made changes in course settings from private to public and again it is showing that the courses are in review. Kindly review the courses again as I thought if I change from private to public, It won't go through the review process again.
I have made changes from private to the public because courses were not showing live on udemy market search place.
I have uploaded these courses from mail id: chandravipin1991@gmail.com

Hi @Abbie ,

please do you have an update on wait times?  I've had a test video awaiting review for three weeks now.

This obviously has the potential to cause quite big problems.  If there is an issue with the test that I can't retroactively fix in other material recorded since, I might effectively lose several weeks' work.

Many thanks.

Kit

Hi Abbie
I submitted my test video on April, 28 and still, there is no feedback. I've been waiting for about 20 days now.

Why not hire capable people who can do it for you.   There are established skilled people who can do this for you.

I think practice tests get an instant approval, am I right?

Go to solution

Hi @Cristi S., yes, once the practice test has been completed, you can make it live in and publish it.

I am unable to post any pictures of my work.. Neither I do any modifications... I have made a video recently.... How do I post pics and video of my work as an instructor...?

Go to solution

I'm awaiting my course reviews to be posted publicly, and I know some students completed and reviewed the course ten days ago.

Can anyone answer, do all course reviews get posted? Is this just a delay on Udemy's side? I want to make sure to have reviews on my course before I start marketing it.

Thanks!

Go to solution

Hi @anneparmeter maybe something about the review was flagged by our spam filter. Udemy uses an algorithm to scan reviews and look for behaviors that might indicate that the review is fake/spam. If you believe these reviews were filtered incorrectly, you can reach out to policy@udemy.com and ask them to double-check.
