He was under lockdown as part of Break- the - Chain to defeat CoViD. He took a CoViD challenge to be creative. He marked challenge 1 as creating a course on the global platform Udemy.
He selected Environment Management as the topic with earnest desire to propagate symbiotic relationship of human well-being and nature well-being. Sure; every challenge has multiple intrinsic challenges. He never thought that the Sample Video Test be a challenge at all. He is someone with more than 4 decades of academic and administrative services. What is there to test his expertise; he thought.
He has an iPhone.
He switched on video and talked unfolding the story from Big Bang to the threatening Holocene. He emphasised need for strengthening the symbiotic relationship.
Yes, Sample Test Video, it is not a challenge at all when life is full of challenges; he thought.
Then, there popped up the mail.
“ Your delivery is that of an expert. But the quality of video production is defective with echo, background noise, and aspect issues “
” So your Test Video does not pass quality check “ the expert concluded.
What a set back ! he thought. During more than 4 decades of services he never thought that there will be a day when he will face such a challenge. Anyways, challenges are destined to overcome a day or other. There are any number of stories to remember. He remembered story of Goliath confronting the Mammoth challenge and started reworking focused on video quality improvements. Any changes on studio setting? Any additional gadgets? Any investment?
No not at all. He used the same study room for recording. But he changed time to very late night after all members of family went to bed.
Awaited reply from the quality expert.
There popped up email again. It read “ it is FIVE STAR test video “.
The course was published on 23/8/20.
This is a story of excitement of a 20 days old Udemy Instructor.
Quality is the biggest challenge. We should focus for quality ; never compromise.

Thank you for sharing your experience @drkeshavmohan, this pandemic, although very challenging, created a great opportunity for people to get creative and share their knowledge and skills on the platform. Creating a course can be challenging and there might be a few bumps on the road but seeing your work published makes it feel worthwhile and it's a great learning experience!
