What if the student enroll in free course then it become paid

What if the student enroll in free course and completed it, then the instructor change it to paid. Do the student earn certificate if they complete the course before its been paid?
All the students, no matter if they join when the course was free, or when you made the course paid, will receive the certificate upon completion. Hope it helps!
