Is it possible to add subtitles to promo video? It is a Practice test style course.

Hi All,
Given that I had created a Practice test style course,
When I upload the promo video,
Then I can not attach a subtitle file to that video.

It is a Practice test course style, and so there is no video uploading feature.
We can conclude that it is not possible to handle subtitles either.

Is there any way to add promo videos subtitles? When the course style is Practice test.

Welcome back;

As i know subtitles are generated automaticaly by Udemy servers.

After that you can edit and add othe languages.

It takes up to 8 hours to add subtitles after uploading each video.

In addition you can use Udemy online chat and ask from Udemy agents.I did it many times before the are really great.

When you go to edit/manage your course >> captions, you'll see all of your videos and here you can either edit the generated subtitles or create/upload your own.

if the course type is the "normal" course, then yes.

Captions (optional) is available.

Captions menu is missing if course type is Practice test.

Now the "New course" button gives two possibilities: 1. Course 2. Practice test

The issue comes with a "Practice test".

Hi All, I received the solution.

in Practice test, the Captions menu is not available,

but still, you can use it on URL

https://www.udemy.com/instructor/course/XXXXXXX/manage/captions/

where XXXXXXX is the course ID

And the promo video is displayed :),

you can upload the subtitles.
