Language Selection for Course
Those were the days when we used to think that English was a must to grow over the internet. The Internet itself has evolved and we can see that regional languages are taken care of all over. Google, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and many others have offered language-based infrastructure. Take the example of Facebook which has expanded worldwide after offering a language-based system. YouTube is now more used because people find content in regional languages.
Udemy is the home for education and learning and when education and learning are provided in a regional language people feel more relevant. Some people are good in teaching but they are not good in a specific language. They should not force themselves to bring content in a foreign language. They should not hesitate either by coming up with their local language. The point of concern is the audience. Is the audience of your language already available on the network? This is the major point. Udemy is a global network and people from around the globe are here to learn. Major languages have no issue of audience and if you feel your audience is small even then don't worry and become a leader and bring your audience with you. Use social media and let people know that your course is valuable, you are teaching in their language and they have to join Udemy to learn. This is how every social network has expanded and Udemy is expanding the same way. We can see a long list of languages today on Udemy when we search for courses. We only need to strengthen this aspect of the network.
The conclusion is that more and more content should come in local and regional languages on Udemy. When you are launching your course, remember the selection of language is important. Language is fundamental on YouTube, blogging, and social media and it is important for a course as well.
