New month new theme: AI
Hey there instructors!
We’re beyond excited to have a new theme for the community this month. It’s now August and that means this month’s theme is AI! So if you’re looking to have some engaging conversations surrounding the usage and strategy AI as an instructor, this is the month for you!

How have you utilized AI to improve your online teaching?

I find it's mostly useful for drafting quiz questions. I'll upload a copy of the relevant slides into ChatGPT and ask it to generate twice as many questions as I actually need based on that content, and then pick the best ones to work with.
AI still has a tendency to make stuff up and sound authoritative about it, so it is still important to be critical when reviewing its output.

I couldn't agree more @FrankKane! It is of the utmost importance to use AI responsibly. Sure, being efficient with this tool is one thing, but one has to make sure the content is correct!
