My course not showing up in the search results

Hi, I have recently published a course. However, when I switch to my Student profile and try to find my own course it won't show up in the search. I have checked pages 1,2,3,4... but my course isn't showing up in the search for students. Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone please advise how can I log a ticket with support for this issue as I can't seem to find a way to contact support other than the chatbot which has not been of great help so far.

Hi @Satty congratulations on publishing your new course! 🎊

If you use the “Newest” filter, you should be able to find your course more quickly. For example, I searched for your course just now with ‘Newest’, and was able to find it on the 1 page of search results. I’ve included a screenshot for you to see.

Let me know if you have additional questions.

    Best regards,

10,000 is the maximum number of search results Udemy will display. So not every course will display when the number of results exceeds that.

It takes time (several days) for the Udemy search to properly rank a new course. So the other option is to be patient.

And also, that category has a lot of established, popular instructors. So it's a tough topic to start off in if you don't have an established name in the field.

I am facing the same problem.

I am experiencing problems with new courses released at the end of August not showing up in the course listings for categories and topics.
On the other hand, the courses seem to appear when I do a word search.

It is possible that all instructors who have released new courses within the last few weeks are affected.I have already contacted support and also raised the issue with the Japanese community.

As far as I am aware, the earliest ticket relating to this matter was raised two weeks ago, but the issue does not appear to have been resolved yet.

  • @Bessy thanks for taking time to check and respond to the query. This was very helpful indeed. :)

  • @ScottDuffy thank you so much for your response. Really appreciate.
