Video Gets Blurry After Processing from 1080P to 720P

The same video was uploaded a week ago, and after processing, the maximum resolution was 1080p. However, when I uploaded the video today, after processing, the maximum resolution is 720p. Please help me figure out what I can do.

Note: I am using Vimeo for screen recording and Clipchamp for editing

    Hi @Habibur_Rahmn574,

I hope you're doing well! I'm happy to clarify the situation regarding video quality and 1080p resolution.

Udemy uses an “Adaptive Streaming” player for course videos, but this feature is not yet available for all courses. This explains why your videos might appear to lose quality after uploading.

However, there's no need to worry! We're happy to enable this feature upon request. To do so, please contact our Instructor Support team by clicking here and navigating to "Contact Us" on the right. When you reach out, please provide our chatbot Alex with as much detail as possible, such as your course name, and Alex will forward your request to the appropriate team.

Once 1080p or "Adaptive Streaming" is enabled, students will have the option to choose “Auto” streaming. This allows videos to stream at 1080p if the student’s device and internet connection supports it.

I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions.

  • Hello @MarinaT , Thank you for the reply. I haven't published my course yet. It is in draft mode. When I preview the lecture, I face this problem. Due this issue. I stopped my recording. Should I continue making videos using the same setting as before?

    Hi @Habibur_Rahmn574,

Great! For this situation, I recommend using our free test video service to ensure your course meets our video and audio standards. (If you haven't done so yet)

This will give you peace of mind before finalizing your content 😊. You can learn more about the service by clicking here.

Once you've completed and published your course, simply send a request to support, as mentioned earlier, to enable 1080p resolution.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out!

Yes, my test video was fine, and I can still watch the video in 1080P.

I uploaded 10 videos in the draft course so far, why can I view the first 4 videos in 1080P but not the last 6?

Is it due to 1080P inactivation or a bug?

Please see the screenshots. Both are the same video file. The one I uploaded few weeks ago can be viewed in 1080p. But the one I uploaded today has a 720P limit.
