First-Time Course Creator: Advice for Post-Launch Success

Hey everyone,

I’m wrapping up the final touches on my first Udemy course, and I’m excited to launch soon! I didn’t do any initial testing or pre-selling before creating it. For those of you who were in a similar position, what were your results like the first time you posted your course?

Additionally, what immediate actions would you recommend taking after launch to ensure the course reaches the right audience and starts gaining traction?

Any tips or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Keep promoting until you get your first sale. And keep publishing new ones.

The best thing you can do is create another course. And then another one. And keep going. See which courses sell, this will give you ideas about your next courses. Unless you have dedicated social media followers, there is not much else you can do at this point. Over time you can send promotional messages but they too have limited effect.

  • Greetings,

Congrats for your first course. I remember when I published our first course.

At the beginning, you should be earning little.

You should be patient and consistent in you teaching.

    Good luck 🍀
