Understanding Revenue Report and Refund Details

I recently published my first course about a month ago, and I noticed that some students have purchased it. However, I’m having trouble understanding the Revenue Report and related details. I have a few questions and would appreciate your guidance:

  1. Is there a way to find out who bought the course? Can I see which students enrolled using free coupons and which ones made a purchase?
  2. How can I check if any refunds have occurred? Is there a way to know the reason for the refund?
  3. I’ve noticed an option for the Payout Report (Beta), but currently, there’s no information displayed. Does this section only show details after Udemy processes the payment?
  4. Is it possible to download detailed reports (e.g., PDF or CSV) that provide transaction-level data, including purchases, refunds, and coupon usage?

My main concern is identifying any refunds and understanding the reasons behind them. I’d also like to distinguish between students who joined via free coupons and those who purchased the course. Any help or clarification on how to access and interpret these details would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi

Congratulations on publishing your course. Here are the answers to your questions.

1- Open revenue report, you will find a table which indicates how the students purchased your course, through a coupon or directly from Udemy.

2- Refunds are available on the same table. You as instructor don't have access to reason of refund.

    You got the answer.

Just to add, you can't download report.
