Preview videos

Hi guys,

I published my first course and i see that 7 of 12 of my videos are free in a preview videos before to buy the course. Is it normal? Can i switch this? I believe that 7 of 12 is too many.

Thanks,

    Congratulations

Go to your course curriculum, then go to the lectures that you need to stop showing them as free. There is a switch button to make it free. Change that.

THE rule is to have an average of 15 Minute of video on free preview.

  • Congratulations on your first course Adri

This is the majority of your course. I usually have 1 or 2 videos free amounting to no more than 10 to 15 min. As Salhiary said, there is a switch button which gives you the option.

Hi @Adri_Broker1 Thanks for bringing up this question. You can easily update the information by following these steps :

    1. Navigate to the course Curriculum page.
    2. Click the arrow to the right of the published lecture to review the lecture details.
    3. Toggle Free Preview to off.

    I hope this helps!

  • I think they are too many (more than half) as previews. You can switch off them by going into your course.
    OR
If the total time duration of those 7 lectures are about 10-15 minutes and they give the user/student an idea of what can be expected out of the rest 5 lectures that amounts to a duration of more than 2 hours, then you can have those 7 lectures as previews.
Only thing that you need to keep in mind is that these 7 preview lectures are giving an overall idea on different topic/subject and not the repeated content.
If you feel that these 7 lectures are of importance, then reduce them to 2-3.
It's not about the number, it's about how the course content is arranged.
