Want to teach life science how to start

From my experience, I would suggest you to do a research on the types of courses offered by anyone in the field of life science. Look for the courses on different website/providers.
From that research you will be able to figure out the topic that you would like to create a course on. Make sure to do a thorough research of the contents of the courses and their outcomes.
This is the best way to go about creating a course.
The second option would be to get insights into the subject itself from a SME.0 -
Hi @Mariofal96
Thanks for sharing the link. Indeed the links are great. I'm not a new instructor but I always found the Udemy videos very useful and the community is great.
To Sri lakshmi rani I'll add my own tips from my mere two years of experience on Udemy
- Get an amazing microphone
- Share initial recordings with friends and get feedback
- Send Udemy the test video early on
- Do not create free courses (just my opinion)
- Preferably do not give out free coupons but if you do so then give it under the condition that the person leaves a review (and even in that case it's highly likely that they won't watch the videos or leave a review)
- Follow Udemy's tips closely. For example they have great tips regarding the intro/promo video. Udemy also has many free courses that I found very helpful.
- You might want to check out marketplace insights and even search for your course topic on udemy just to see if the topic is saturated and/or in demand
- Choose a topic which you truly enjoy
- Finally I'd recommend using social media to promote your course. I wasn't really successful in that sense but even creating a youtube channel is great.
- You have two promotional emails a month and you can create 3 sets of coupons a month. Take advantage of these every month. Note that promotional emails are usually most effective if you have more than one course and then you can cross-promote
- Udemy is great but not all courses are successful even if they're great so personally I found having low expectations is good, i.e. try your best and hope for the best
- Create a script before recording. Give the course course image some thought and preferably show your image in the course image but not text.
Finally I really recommend checking out this link from Lindsay Marsh. She has done very well on Udemy and gave great tips.
Good luck!
