For Udemy do we need a PayPal Business account?
Hi, Everyone,
Vaishak here from India. Im planning to launch a new course in Udemy. So, my first course.
Im confused with the payment options. We have 2 - PayPal and Payoneer.
Most people say for beginners go for PayPal as Payoneer charges some $30$ fee if you don't make $2000 in the first year. Plus lots of hidden charges.
I guess, though Paypal takes more charge than Payoneer, most people suggest to for PayPal.
Paypal has - Personal and Business.
Most people say start with Personal. And don't go for Business.
Now, I have a PayPal Personal Acct. But, it says if I need to accept payments, I need to Upgrade to a Business account.
So, my question again is - Do we need a Business Paypal for Udemy? Or is personal one fine.
If personal Paypal is fine, what do I need to do to ensure I get money in my bank acct.
If any one has gone through this confusion, please help.

I have been using Paypal for more than 10 years. Never had any problem and works for me. I haven't tried Payoneer. In PayPal, I have put business name as my name and it is working out without any problem.

UDemy don't care about paypal account type. Both working as the same. The business paypal is for direct payment dorm costumer. Udemy send you money not pay you through paypal.
Payoner is the same as PayPal. Before, payoner was cheaper than paypal but recently they charge the same.

I have just received my first payout from Udemy on my personal paypal account (thank you Udemy ;-)). So, no, you don't need a business account to receive money from Udemy.
