Course Languages

Hi,

First time course creator here. I'm currently making a course in English. Basically I've made a bunch of PowerPoint slides with English content and my voice over.

Here's are my questions:

  1. If I want to create the same course, but for say Chinese, can I use the exact same deck with English on them and just do the voice over in Chinese? Or do the words in the deck need to be translated?
  2. Does the new language need to be in my voice or can I get a friend to do the voice over in Spanish, Italian, Japanese, etc?
  3. How about the landing page? Do I need to translate all the words into the new language? Can I somehow copy my original course and just say it's for Chinese now as it now has Chinese voice over.

Thanks for your help!

  • Hi,

    1. I believe you can use the same deck with voice over in another language. But it may not be as effective if text remains in English. Your text in independent images and animations can be unchanged.
    2. Voice can be from other voice but I believe other person must be registered as co-author
    3. There is only one landing page. So you may have two versions of content in 2 languages.

My best suggestion is to get your subtitles translated with rest of the content unchanged.

    Regards

  • I'm wondering if there's any tool that can automatically translate all the content on the slides into target languages. 😁
