It appears that your course image includes text. Udemy research has found that course images containing text are less successful. Because of this, we only allow text in course images in very limited cases - primarily in the context of a logo.

You can use Google Gemini to create image without text. I tried one and using it now on my course. It's so good and convenient.

  • What will you do? Find an image that doesn't have text. Go to my page, or any instructor's page, and look at all the course images. None of them have text.

Display an image without text. That's what I did when I received this message. For example:

I have an image of myself which I add to a figma file and add some images together. I did try to generate an image using AI but it really was not amazing so I didn't use it.

  • I submitted your image without text, but it can include a logo, as long as the name is part of the logo. Alternatively, you can choose to submit the course cover without any text just to pass the approval process. Later, you can add the desired text once the course is approved.

While many courses use text on their covers, excessive text can negatively impact marketing by creating visual confusion. Keeping it simple and clean often works better.

I hope this advice is helpful. Wishing you successful classes in 2025 best of luck!
