Hello fellow educators,
Over the past two years, I have been exploring how generative AI tools can support teachers in designing richer and more interactive learning materials — especially in early childhood and primary education.
One concept that has particularly transformed my own practice is what I call the “Talking Poster” approach.
Traditionally, posters function as visual support tools in the classroom. But when we integrate simple technologies like QR codes connected to audio content, a static poster can become a multi-sensory learning experience. Children can listen to stories, hear instructions, or explore additional explanations directly from the visual material.
In my observations, this approach has helped:
• Increase student engagement
• Support differentiated learning
• Extend attention span through audio-visual integration
• Encourage independent exploration
Rather than using AI to replace creativity, I see it as a design assistant — helping teachers prototype visuals, adapt materials for different age groups, and create layered content more efficiently.
I’m curious to hear from other instructors:
Have you experimented with turning static materials into interactive or audio-supported resources?
What tools or approaches have worked well in your context?
Looking forward to exchanging ideas.
Warm regards,
Ayfer Küçükdurmaz
