  • I was working as a lecturer and during the pandemic as the university was closed, I decided to drop my lectures online. I am so pleased I came across Udemy and decided to give it a shot!

  • Hi @Bella
    ,

What prompted me to start teaching online, was to start sharing my expertise and passion for technology with fellow community members around the world!

    Cheers,
    Artemakis

  • I wrote a small book during my college days so I thought that if I can write then I can create courses as well but I took that decision a little bit late due to feeling incompetent but I improved gradually and still improving.

It's a great feeling to be a part of this big community.

    Good luck to all!!!

  • I took an exam to register as a professional engineer in Canada. I studied from books and realized that there were almost no courses to prepare for this exam, so I decided to create an affordable cost during the pandemic. I am pleased that the course has been successful in a short time.

  • I took few courses to increase my knowledge and add new skills. I found it so surprising that for such small monetary amount I got so much practical knowledge from the instructors and at that time I felt creating an online course is the best way to give back. Its the best way for me to share my knowledge and experiences and give back to the society. So, taking courses made made me decide to start teaching online.

  • Hello,

Due to my passion to technology and security I've learned that it's important to share knowledge.

Also, online teaching provides instructors with greater flexibility to address varying learning styles and use different technologies.

    Give before you get!

  • I decided to use my homeschool student and credentialed teacher experience to write an online course for new homeschooling parents!

I already got a t-shirt, but thought I's post as well. I moved from California to Utah and continued working for a previous employer providing training in the classroom, online and at client sites. When I was at home, not actively teaching, I decided to create a simple course and test the waters of teaching on Udemy. Still here 6 years later. Thank you Udemy!

  • I always liked to share my knowledge with other people. Udemy provided me a great chance to share my knowledge with thousands of students worldwide! Moreover, my friend also started her online course at the same time when I created mine. Together, we shared our knowledge and motivated each other to finally publish our first courses.

Clearly the free swag from Udemy!

In reality, it was sort of random, I thought it could be fun, I did a few test courses, they surprisingly made money, so I made an actual in-demand course.

  • Sharing my knowledge has always been something I have wanted to do. Creating a course really makes you learn the subject from inside out which is also very beneficial for the instructor.

  • I wanted to bring spiritualism to the wider audience. Helping people live a happy balanced spiritual life with clarity and purpose

I start teaching online because when I was in a leaning phase of any new technology, I faced so many problem because Instructor doesn't know well how good I am in this technology.

I was teaching maths when I was studying accountancy, all my students liked me and I liked the teaching job. That is the reason I am here today with Udemy.

  • The best inspiration to teach online is to reach maximum people and share knowledge for 24/7 across the world

Teaching online is the way to learn increasingly as we move into the 21st century. When I earned a certificate online from Wharton, I knew online learning was considered as legitimate as in person.

  • My opinion behind this is that if someone have knowledge then he/she must share that knowledge it helps other but the main point is which platform it should be so I found Udemy a best platform to share my knowledge and I do that also.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Everyone!

The more people develop, the faster we can advance technology.

I was disappointed with course I joined in 2013. I thought I can teach the same topic better ; It was just coincidence.

  • I wanted to share my 20+ years expertise with people who need support and training. There are such limited training options in my field. My mentoring face to face brought me joy and I couldn't wait to help complete strangers.
