What camera features should I look for? I have approx. $300 to spend on a camera.

Thank you MariaG)!! So appreciate the help.

I know that getting a great microphone is my key focus, but when it comes to cameras I find all the variables a little overwhelming, i.e. DSLR or Mirrorless, battery recording time, think mirrorless can heat up if too long recording, shutter frame time etc.

well, it depends on how much you are going to use it. If you want to make just a few videos, or only for preview, consider borrow a good camera from a friend)

I suggest you a good mobile around 20-25k and do screenshot recording with system and Microphone sounds.
