Audio and Video along with a Powerpoint Presentation

Okay, I figured out how to do a PowerPoint presentation for the introduction. Now to the audio and video. How does that work? What kind of equipment do I need to go on a PC in order to create the video? How does the video link to the PowerPoint presentation? Are these done separately or are they all done in PowerPoint?
