Video playback issue (Progress bar doesn't hide)

Guys at Udemy, this is an "old" issue, at least it has 7 month and not a solution yet. Check the date in this Reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Udemy/comments/1csqa7i/ui_not_hiding_when_using_full_screen/?rdt=49769
And regarding with another comment (the above one), when I clicked to enter in the Expanded view, it began to play the audio from another lesson so I had two audios playing, the current lesson one and the one from another lesson.
This is an annoying situation either if we want to see the code in the bottom of the instructor screen and worst if we have captions (subtitles) on because it uses more space above the controls video bar.
Since the video is the important feature of the platform, how is it possible that Udemy doesn't have a solution for an issue with at least 7 months old?
PD. hire real and skilled programmers or UIX designers instead of only using ChatGPT :(

As a workaround, I play the video in the picture-in-picture mode. I'm running Firefox on MacOS with multiple monitors

In case someone reads this:
Another "work-around" is to zoom out as much as possible, that makes that the progress bar and faded-out title don't overlay the video! :-)
Granted, you will not be able to read anything aside from the video, but at least, nothing of the video screen is covered! :-)(I have a 34" curved screen(3440 x 1440), so my udemy window is 50% of my monitor)

I got so frustated of this issue that I created a user script to make these controls work again. If anyone wants to test it out, the script is available in GitHub: https://github.com/Equiel-1703/udemy-video-fix. The instructions on how to use and install are there too.
I'm really impressed on how Udemy really don't care to fix a problem that EVERYONE is having.

henri. you are my hero!
i am indeed also surprised udemy never updated this or at least give people the possibility to watch in a external player like vlc.
i mean there are always work arounds. but to do these things with every video will get old very soon.

Hello guys,
I created a firefox extension to solve this issue.
A unofficial firefox udemy extension.
It does not solve 100%, but alteast it does something and may help you little.
Link:
Technical detail: The issue is happening because some css and js the browser is download but don't known why the the browser not able to integrate (injest) the css and js.
A other solution is to open F11,
Then press button 1st (Responsive design mode) and then press button 2nd button (close button).
Then zoom out depending on requirement and reload the page.

I´m getting frequent questions and complaints by students because of videos not playing in various courses.
This has been ongoing for some weeks and i´m starting to get tired explaining them that there´s a technical issue on udemy´s side.

It seems that the issue is fixed. I am not sure when exactly, but yesterday, I removed the CSS workaround, and everything worked. It looks like they fixed it silently.
