Well, it is 20:00 pm Lisbon and nothing has been added to my PayPal account yet... What is happening?

Hi @KatieBent
, just a reminder, can you remind us when UB amounts are typically posted? I thought it was supposed to be on the fifth business day of the month, but could be wrong. I know they were delayed a few times in recent months beyond the "expected" day, so have lost track of the expected day. Is it the fifth business day of the month? (And if so, since that was last Friday, is there another issue with posting UB revenue?)Thanks so much for your efforts corralling these many instructor kittens.
Cheers,
Bill0 -
I haven't seen anything yet - a US-based instructor using direct deposit.
That said, it usually takes an extra day for direct deposits so I'm not worried about it. Please don't forget that today is also somewhat of a holiday in the US, which is impacting financial systems and moving money around. Give it another day. Weekends and holidays usually delay any type of deposit.
For example, I tried to move money to trade stocks today, and it wouldn't be processed for a few days when usually that money would have been immediately available to me to trade.

@Btkrausen
I am not really worried, my Udemy earnings are not relevant, but this is a first time for me and I thought maybe there were some changes with payment systems... but it seems not to be the case.Well, when it comes, it comes!

@Btkrausen
thanks for the US holiday reminder - I completely forgot. US-based instructors probably won't see a pending payment until tomorrow.0 -
Hi @WilliamStewart
, we generally post Udemy Business earnings around the 6th or 7th business day -- there's more bookkeeping involved with Udemy Business revenue than with other types of instructor earnings, since it's generated from contracts and invoices rather than raw platform interactions. But I would expect it to post soon, likely tomorrow or the day after.I'll see if we can update our documentation to make the timing a little clearer.
To those of you wondering about bank transfer, yes, this is what we're seeing as well. Although payment has been issued on our side, it looks like the final transfer will happen when US banks resume normal operations tomorrow. Thanks for your patience.

And it's almost 2pm CST on 10/10 and it's not showing up...

Hi @bsnsAtlas
, thanks for letting us know! I'm sorry that you still haven't received your payment. Bank transfers may take longer than usual depending on the hours of operation of each bank. If you're using Paypal or Payoneer, could you please contact the Instructor Support team? They will be happy to assist!0 -
@bsnsAtlas
if you're in the U.S. you probably won't receive it until tomorrow because most banks are closed on Federal holidays. I haven't received mine and am not worrying because today is Columbus Day, which is a commonly observed holiday for most banks.
Financial institutions and the ACH follow the Federal Reserve System’s holiday schedule.- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- Presidents’ Day
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth National Independence Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

What is Udemy doing to compensate everyone that was impacted by this? Are you guys giving everyone an extra 100 or 200 dollars on their payouts? Are you giving more money back on sales made? Whatever happened is a Udemy problem, that is not the instructors problem.
As big as this company is, there should be no way that you don't pay people on your platform on time. I get it, it probably never happened before, but all it takes is 1 time, and that one time will result in losing all your customers.
This is many people only source of income, this is a payout from the previous month, so that means Udemy should have had this taking care of a head of time.
Sorry doesn't cut it, and constantly saying you're sorry, means you are sorry, there should have been a better explanation than I'm sorry.
There was no mass email sent out to all instructors, there was no notification in the instructor portal to notify us of what happened. We had to search around and look for answers. That is not acceptable.
What if the shoes were on the other foot, and we owed you? You guys would have collections agencies calling our phones all day.
This is not acceptable, I have been on this platforms for years, and I have seen many different issues that Udemy failed to address.

I am in the United States, and was expecting my direct deposit payout today, as we had a holiday yesterday. However, my bank account still does not show a deposit today. I clicked on the Instructor Support tab to check into my specific deposit, but that tab is not operable. Please help!
Edit: The deposit was just received at my bank, Wells Fargo.
Whew! Thanks for all the help and updates from all! I do appreciate this group. 1 -
Any update on payments? Today is Tuesday, Oct 11 and still no payment?

Oct 11th. Still no deposit into my US bank account.

I assume it will eventually be OK. But only one time in the past was Udemy 5 days late with a payment. So odd.

US-based Direct Deposit, and my payout is now in my account. I use PNC if that helps. I figured it would show up today and glad to see it now. Hoping everyone else gets resolved quickly.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for continuing to share your thoughts. We have posted an official response addressing some of the concerns we read here, I invite you all to take a look at the post for more details.
As mentioned in this thread, we completed sending payment for all payout methods on October 8th. The amounts should already be visible for PayPal and Payoneer users, but bank transfers may take longer depending on the banks' operating hours. We recommend contacting Instructor Support if you have questions about your particular payout.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide us with constructive feedback. We are collecting as much information about this incident as possible to address any other pertinent concerns.
