  • Hey @Bella
    , are you back?!

It would be nice to hear yes.

    Yes, back to the question:

    1. Leveraging some promising social media platforms like: YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn.

    2. Copywritting.

    3. This is more of a concept: Constant posting of helpful content on personal website and/or blog, and collection of email list via all of the options mentioned above including webinars in exchange for free access to some content, and finally redirecting them to the main course(s) for premium content.

*After thought, and if I may chip in this: Wearing of Udemy t-shirt for presentation and profile picture is a marketing strategy in a way too.

  • Great answers here!

    My three tips:

    1. Have a simple and fast website to showcase your work: articles, videos, code, images, etc. Anything that you make should go on your website. Keep your website fresh.
    2. Interact with your audience. Whichever tool(s) you prefer can work. It could be an email list, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. It does not matter as long as you have some level of ownership.
    3. Combine items #1 and #2 as much as possible. Use your interaction tool to inform your audience about a new blog post, course, podcast, promotion etc. Direct them to your website for more information.

    I hope this helps!

  • Hi @Bella
here are 3 tips to improve my online marketing:

    1) Target audience: My courses are special topics of subjects. Like image processing, machine learning etc. For this reason, I direct people who are suitable for my target audience to my courses. As such, it is sold in my other courses.

    2) Books: I'm teacher and author. for creating books and courses for a particular field. It is possible for me to market the book and the course together.

    3) Originality and projects: When I use e-mail promotions of Udemy, I'm sharing 2 or more project's images which is in the course content in promotions. Projects that are not in a different course attract a lot of attention. This situation is pozitive for my marketing.

Hi @Bella so, here are 3 tips to improve my online marketing,

As a data analyst course teacher, here are 3 tips to improve my online marketing:

    1. Define your target audience: Before you start promoting your course, it's important to identify your target audience. This will help you tailor your marketing efforts to the right people. For instance, if your course is designed for beginners, you should focus on marketing it to people who are new to data analysis. On the other hand, if your course is advanced, you should focus on marketing it to people who already have some experience in the field.

    2. Create engaging content: Creating engaging content is key to attracting potential students to your course. This could include blog posts, videos, social media posts, and infographics. Your content should provide value to your target audience, answer common questions, and showcase your expertise. Additionally, consider using case studies or success stories to demonstrate the value of your course.

    3. Leverage social media: Social media is a powerful tool for promoting your course and engaging with potential students. Identify which platforms your target audience is most active on and create a presence there. Use social media to share your content, engage with your audience, and promote your course. Additionally, consider running targeted ads on social media to reach a wider audience.

  • I've loved this thread, some great tips! Thanks guys!

Here are my top 3 tips:

    1) If you have a website, add your Udemy courses on there with links to buy. Consider creating a landing/sales page for each of your Udemy courses. Time-consuming, yes, but they'll look super professional and if you have people on your website then they will be looking for all the info they can get before deciding whether to click through to Udemy to make the purchase. They will of course get a lot of information from Udemy too, but you need to generate enough interest from them in order for them to click. Just having the course title and saying 'Click to buy my course' won't get people clicking.

    2) Promote your course in Facebook groups. If you don't have your own, that's fine - find groups where your ideal audience are likely to hang out and, if you're allowed, promote your course in there. Watch out for hashtag-special days, like #promomonday and try not to break the group's rules!

    3) Put a video on your social media pages as well as posts selling the course. People will love to see a bit of it, consider taking a snippet out of your most popular lecture, and then have a 'For more, get the course at XXX' call to action at the end.

    Have a great day everyone!

What are 3 tips you have to help improve your online marketing for your courses?

These are Super Secret tips don't share them with anyone
    1. Use the Free: Open coupon codes to get new students for initial reviews and feedback for the courses and try improving the course from the feedback received this will help to create a high-quality and valuable course. If you follow these steps it increases the chances of getting the Highest Rated Badge.

    2. Promote the course on your social media and leverage the power of promotional announcement emails. This helps to get even more students into the course which means more reviews also increase the chances of getting Hot and New Badge on the course

    3. Create a demo of the course for Youtube and provide 20% - 30% of the content for free this will bring interested students to the course if possible try to add a cliffhanger at the end of the demo which will help even more students to enroll in the course. This tip will help to get a lot of enrollments and increase the chances of getting the BestSeller Badge on the course.

Implement these tips in your next course and thank me later

  • Ok. here we go:

    Tip #1: Avoid free coupons
Handing out your courses without a price tag might actually lower their perceived value and attract a crowd of bots and "collectors" instead of eager learners.

Tip #2: Hold off on spending money on advertising (at least in the beginning)
Focus on finding your target audience, becoming an invaluable member of their community, and sharing your content for free.
Hot tip: check out platforms like LinkedIn or Reddit to find the right groups.

    Tip #3: Use limited-time offers
FOMO can be a powerful tool--but remember to strike a balance and not come across as too pushy.

    I hope this helps!

Tutorial that I’m working on following to a T:

Here are three tips to improve your online marketing for your Udemy courses:

    1. Identify and target your ideal audience: Understanding your target audience is crucial for effective online marketing. Take the time to research and identify the demographics, interests, and needs of your potential students. Once you have a clear picture of your ideal audience, tailor your marketing efforts to reach and engage them specifically. This could include creating targeted ads, using relevant keywords in your course descriptions, and leveraging social media platforms where your audience is most active.

    2. Optimize your course landing page: Your course landing page is where potential students will make their decision to enroll. Make sure it's well-optimized to increase conversions. Here are a few key elements to focus on:

      • Compelling title and course description: Craft an attention-grabbing title and a concise, persuasive course description that clearly communicates the benefits and value your course offers.

      • Engaging visuals: Include high-quality images, videos, or infographics that showcase the course content and create a visually appealing experience for potential students.

      • Social proof and testimonials: Highlight positive reviews, ratings, or testimonials from previous students to build trust and credibility. Positive feedback can greatly influence a prospective student's decision to enroll.

      • Clear call-to-action (CTA): Make it easy for visitors to take the next step by having a prominent and enticing CTA button that encourages them to enroll.

    3. Leverage social media and content marketing: Social media platforms provide an excellent opportunity to promote your Udemy courses and engage with your target audience. Here are a few strategies to consider:

      • Create valuable content: Develop informative blog posts, videos, or infographics related to your course topics and share them on your website or social media platforms. This positions you as an authority in your field and can attract potential students to your courses.

      • Engage with your audience: Actively participate in relevant online communities, forums, or groups where your target audience congregates. Answer questions, provide insights, and establish yourself as a helpful resource. This will help you build a loyal following and generate interest in your courses.

      • Collaborate with influencers: Identify influencers or industry experts who have a strong online presence and a following that aligns with your target audience. Collaborate with them through guest blog posts, joint webinars, or social media takeovers to expand your reach and tap into their existing audience.

Remember, consistency is key. Implement these tips consistently over time, track your results, and make adjustments as needed to optimize your online marketing strategy for your Udemy courses.
