Hi, everyone,

Over the past few months, we’ve done some research to understand how we can improve the Udemy mobile app for you. Many of you shared your challenges with viewing and responding to learner Q&A on the app. Based on your feedback, we've updated the instructor mobile Q&A experience to be more intuitive across iOS and Android.

Now on the instructor app, you’ll be able to:
- Mark, view, and remove featured questions
- Add filters to sort by newest, oldest, and most upvoted questions
- View lecture and section information for each question for more context

We hope these updates help you interact with and support learners more easily across devices than ever before! To check out the changes, sign in to your account on the Udemy mobile app, tap Switch to Instructor View under the Account tab, and then tap Q&A under the Inbox tab.

There has been a delay in the release of the Udemy Business earning figures in the Revenue Report, which was supposed to be available yesterday. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. This issue is currently being investigated by our engineers and we hope to have a solution as soon as possible.


Please note that this doesn't affect when you're paid out, just when the previous month's reporting appears on your Revenue Report.

 

Once the issue has been addressed, we will post an update in this thread.

Hi Instructors,

 

As this year comes to a close, we’re excited to announce some big, upcoming changes to our coding exercises tool!

 

  • An improved look for learners. To create an authentic programming experience, our new coding exercise learner experience closely simulates an Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
  • Help your learners when they get stuck. You can now add hints and a related lecture to your coding exercises to help your learners get to the right answer.
  • Create comprehensive solutions. Clarify the right answer in the solution explanation section and create test cases that are now shown to learners so they can better understand where their code is breaking.

Most of these coding exercise improvements are currently in beta testing with a select group of courses. We’ll be slowly rolling out the beta to courses with coding exercises over the next few weeks and aim to launch the new experience for all courses in early 2023. You can learn more at this Teaching Center article. We can’t wait to hear your feedback on the enhanced tool!
