For me three tips to market Udemy course would be. 1) Give out free coupons to students on a regular basis. This to me is a win-win situation for both the students and the instructor in that the students will engage with your content and leave behind reviews/ratings on the course. The reviews/ratings will help you rank your course in search results. However, giving too many coupons would be futile as students who get the course for free are less likely to watch the video lessons and engage with your content. This is the mistake that I made when I started off. I also believe there must be an option to create custom no of free coupons in Udemy (like 10 , 15 or 50 for that matter) an option that is non-existent in Udemy as of now. 2) Build a strong social media presence and if your social media presence is weak, I would advise you (the new instructors) to participate in Udemy's promotion program on a revenue sharing basis. 3) Make sure that the course has at least 2 hours of content.
