See https://caseron.co.uk/how-to-complete-a-w-8ben-e-form/ for an article which may help - and near the bottom there are 3 addition ways they can help: A video masterclass, a "Check my W-8BEN-E" form, and a "Complete My W-8BEN-E" form, which is what I did. Work out your course overall. What it is that you want to teach? Now narrow it down. What specifically do you want to teach? Where is the journey? Where do you start? Where do you finish? How do you get there? Now you have got a curriculum. Work out each lesson. Where do you start? Where do you end? How do you get there? Make sure you have an interesting middle. Now, just do it. If your first course is not your best, that's fine. It's important to make a start. You can always re-record lessons, or the entire course, later. But if you don't make a start, you'll never finish.

I think an important thing from the above is: new courses will not be discounted for the first 14 days after publishing So, let's say that the Thanksgiving sale starts on 20 November (I don't know the date - that's just a figure I just made up). So for your course to be included in the sale for the entirety of the sale period: it would need to be approved by 6 November, so it probably would need to be submitted by the end of October, just in case. If you are talking about how to do it in Udemy, then go to the course, then click on the wheel in the top-right hand corner. You can then "Manage instructor permissions". If you are talking about how to sell it legally from one person to another, then I suggest that you get independent legal advice.

Hi Melanie, You would need to pay UK tax, as with any other source of income. If you are claiming it as self-employment, then you would need to add it to your Self Assessment form (and potentially pay National Insurance as well). Dear @Kerman, If you are looking for an all-in-one solution, then try Auphonic.com . You can process 1-2 hours of video a month for free (and is not that expensive afterwards). You can use the Adaptive Leveler, Loudness Normalization, Filtering, and Noise Reduction. It can process video and will return a video after processing. Regards, Phillip

Hi Cristina, It's difficult - your pronunciation is fine. The accent is noticeable, but I suspect that, when students go through the course, they will get used to it. Sometimes end of words get either swallowed up by the next word. One thing that is noticeable is that you have odd emphasis on words or syllables that normally aren't emphasized, and that can feel a bit disconcerting for me when that happens. However, that might just be me. The content of the video is good, and I enjoyed it. I suggest that you either try releasing it and see what happens, or you hire someone for a few hours to overdub it in an English/American accent. I hope that helps. Regards, Phillip

Dear Michael, You might want to investigate a "noise gate". It reduces the amount of noise, such as typing, when the volume is fairly quiet. For example, have a look at the dbx 286s Preamp. On the right-hand side, you will see an "Expander/Gate". You can set the threshold (the minimum volume when the gate will NOT be engaged), and the Ratio (how much the volume will be reduced by). I also use a Heil PR40 microphone, which is cardioid, so it focuses on one particular direction, together with a Heil PL2T microphone boom, so the microphone is not on the desk, near the mouse/keyboard, but in the air. To connect them together, I use a Scarlett Solo and a couple of cables. I also use auphonic.com to level the sound, so that it is consistent from video to video. Have a listen to the sound in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnTxOqlSUzY to hear the end result. You can hear the keyboard if I press enter loudly, but it's fairly quiet otherwise. I look at how many students, from all around the world, I have helped. How many have been able to pass their exams. Some have even been able to get better jobs because of what they have done. And these are people I have never met, from countries I have never gone to. Remember - it's not about you. It's about them. --- I also think about how I am improving the future of my children and my family. With the extra money I am earning, I am able to reshape their futures as well. I also think about how much more time I am able to spend with the children. For example, we have summer holidays coming up, and there is a lot of time to spend with the children. These breaks from work also help me to take a break, and come back refreshed and motivated. Phillip

Camtasia, and then upload it to Auphonic to ensure that the audio is at a consistent level. If you have problems with sound levels between videos, please look at Auphonic, which just solves those problems for me.
