Hello Instructor Community! It’s Day 2 of our World Teachers’ Day giveaway!
In case you missed it, to celebrate World Teachers’ Day, we are giving away Udemy t-shirts to the first 10 instructors who answer a daily prompt from October 5-7. During the celebration period, a daily prompt will be posted at a random time. The first 10 instructors to respond to the prompt will get a t-shirt (unless you've already received one this period). Limit one person. Offer valid while supplies last.
Today’s prompt is: Tell us about the moment you knew your course was making an impact.
The 1st time I knew my course was making an impact was when my course got its first 5 star review in May 2019.
It was great experience, knowing that people are actually get benefit from the information that they gain from my course.
Thank you Udemy for giving us the chance to experience such great feelings
When I started seeing people interested in the course from my youtube channel I started to see convertions and people liking the course, then it went up into the top 3 ranking for that course and I knew it was going to be great for people that started doing Android Development ! Then I receive multiple compliments in Linkedin for multiple people that liked the course and bring them they first job on android development !
When I saw how many countries my course was reaching. At the time it was something like 80 countries, and I thought to myself "I don't know if I can even name 80 countries!!" Now it's up to 168 countries. What an honor to be able to teach all around the world, and all without leaving my house!
i know when i got more than 300 subscribers in 2 months.
When someone took my Excel course 2 days before a job interview and, because of his new-found Excel skills, got a follow-up interview. I believe that he eventually got the job.
The moment I started receiving feedback that my courses helped them to truly understand the importance of nutrition!
My first five star review from a complete stranger who took my course and said it was the best course they have ever taken on that topic. That's when I knew I was doing something right, and I should continue doing it.
When I received 1000 srudents.
When someone left a review saying it was the best explanation of that topic they had ever heard.
It was when i got asked by a student to validate his project and i figured out that he did an amazing job, only then i figured out that he learned a great deal of information
When people started messaging me, asking and giving 5star ratings with great comments.
It was when I was contacted by a former student during the first 45 days of its course publication, showing her interest in offering the course as part of an initiative of her foundation "Energy and Women" which I joined.
During the first call for the course, we managed to attract the attention of about 100 professional women from more than 11 countries throughout Latin America in just one week.
This initiative helped me to receive a large number of positive and spontaneous reviews that are boosting my course score above 4.7.
When inspirational reviews came out.
The first time I knew and deeply felt the effect that my course was making an impact was when one my students got confident enough to quit is regular job as a manager to a well known fast-food company in Guyana and became a fulltime APEX developer and partner till date.
If you didn't win your t-shirt this time, don't worry! There's still one more chance to guarantee yours on the next prompt which will be posted today. Stay tuned! 😉
