Hi @ArminSarajlic I don't have any advice for you, unfortunately. My translated courses are a partnership with other companies that contacted me. It's their profiles. I don't think there's a problem with using someone else's voice as long as it's not AI, but I would double-check with trust and policy.

My biggest asset on Udemy is the trust I've built with my students over the years. Now, when I publish a new course: I don't need to give free coupons. I don't need to pay for ads. I don't need to beg my friends or grandma to leave me a review. I don't need to read through community posts on "how to market my course." All I do is send one promotional email to my students, and I'm guaranteed enrollments, engagement, and reviews. Why? Because they trust me that I don't feed the curriculum of an existing course into ChatGPT and charge them money for reading the script that ChatGPT wrote for me.

@ThomasLoren892 working with green screen is very tricky. It can be a number of factors anywhere from the software you're using not being very good with green screen, to uneven lighting. I recommend troubleshooting by trying different software at the minimum.

Hi @MarinaT . The team has not followed up with me. I followed up with them twice, and there is still no progress or update on it. The resolution of the promo video on half of my courses and courses on Udemy is terrible. Updating the resolution manually doesn't work. @JamieHedger please report this to Udemy Instructor Support. I've been complaining about this issue for the past week, primary for promo videos and I haven't heard anything back yet.

LOL, I've never heard of Sarah Cordiner, buuut, you reminded me that you @FrankKane have a course on course creation (and knowing you, you won't promote yourself so I'll do it for you:)) I believe Phil Ebiner and Chris Haroun had those courses and they have quite an experience creating courses.

@RyanJaress OK, I appreciate the clarification. I was under the impression that it would be displayed publicly to students. Personally, I think that if certain instructors are reluctant to keep investing in their courses when an update is actually needed, a community badge will be the last thing that would motivate them. But having said that, I don't see any issue with this contest then:) If it motivates at least one instructor, that's great!

@RyanJaress, just to make sure I understand this correctly. Is that badge going to be displayed next to an instructor's public profile or the updated course? Or is this a purely Udemy community gamified challenge?

@RyanJaress this is a terrible idea. I don't know who comes up with this stuff... honestly. No offense intended. Updating a course just for the sack of "updating" or getting an "exclusive" badge is a waste of our time and the students time. It's also a wrong incentive. I keep all my courses up to date by default. If I don't, students won't buy it or start complaining. Most of my courses are evergreen and comprehensive. I don't need Udemy to encourage me to pad it with more fluff just to make it longer. Also for those of us in UB, we are constantly reminded that UB learners prefer concise and short courses. Why creating those incentives then?

@Acelearning I don't have any details about your situation but just looking at your existing courses you have a different voice in almost every course. A few of them are female voices! And the male voices are not the same in different courses. At least one of the voices actually sounds like a professional dub by a voice actor. Another like a normal voice. Also the fact that almost every course is acted with perfect lip sync by an animated character (which clearly an AI or a work of a program) makes the whole thing look like an AI generated project. I'm just saying this because this is how an outsider like me sees it.

Hi @gimatek great questions. I don't have anything smart to say about scaling as I've been struggling with it myself. What I can say is most of the instructors that have 40+ courses have been doing it full time for many years already. I didn't realize it when I joined the platform, assuming everyone was doing it as a hobby on weekends like me. Some of the more successful instructors do have companies with employees. However this should happen organically as you start making more money and need to scale. Looking at your stats and niche I don't think you're there yet. But if there is anything you can already outsource, like video editing, that's usually a good place to start. By the way, your courses look great!

It's hard @CodyWeinman104 . I won't lie to you. I've produced several courses already and you'd think I figured everything out by now. But every time I find some new challenge. You just deal with it. Learn from it and move on. If every idiot could easily do it, we wouldn't be making any money on this platform.

When I see your courses (even though I don't speak a word of Spanish) I know exactly why your students love you and why your graphs look like this This is what I come to this community for: Not the whining and complaining. But the stories that inspire, backed but real data.

@gimatek for Learning Management Solutions to build, host and manage your course you have: - Kajabi (which you already know) - Teachable - Thinktific - Podia - Zenler I'm sure there are more. All of those will cost you more or less the same (hundreds to thousands of dollars per year). These are not platforms in the sense that they will do NOTHING to help you sell your course. For platforms. There are many other choices, I can't recommend any since my experience is only on Udemy. I can say that if you go over some old posts you'll find people trying other platforms and the revenue there is not even close to Udemy. Notably people are running away from Skillshare because they screwed over most of the instructors by reducing the pay significantly. I hope this helps.

Hi @ChrystieV, would it be a huge effort for Udemy to add a setting for us to hide all posts from Studio U and persist it so it applies every time I come here? When I have time and energy to answer new instructors' questions in Studio U, I can go there. But this is not our job to answer those repetitive questions, and our time is finite, with all my sincere desire to help new instructors. Publisher instructors come here for a different reason, and due to this constant noise, fewer of us are coming here, which is bad for everyone. The moderators can refer those repetitive questions to old threads or documentation. Speaking of AI, this can be very easily automated with suggestions while the person is typing their question. Stackoverflow had that for years before ChatGPT.

Personally, I wish I could set it so that when I log in to the community, I see only posts in the Published Instructor Club. I'm not a community champion, I don't work for Udemy, and I'm tired of logging in and seeing introduction messages from new instructors, super basic questions like "Can I edit my course" or, worse, just ChatGPT copy-pasted spam. Why is this relevant to me? I want to hear, help, and network with published instructors. Besides the irrelevance of those posts, I also end up missing important announcements and interesting posts from the IPP community and other published instructors because of all this noise. I also noticed that I don't feel like coming here recently, and many instructors that used to come and be active here are gone. Probably for similar reasons.

Look @RonErez I totally hear you about how crappy it feels when someone is asking (or even demanding) you to work for free. I've gotten some messages like that myself, and my response is always silence. A student who's asking for a free course doesn't value your time at all and won't buy anything from you. But you also need to realize that you devalued yourself and your content by providing those 1000 free coupons to a course. From a student's perspective, why are you charging for another course if you gave that one for free? Students don't understand the concepts of lead magnets or the fact that you are making a living off of this, and providing those free coupons is a way to get an audience and blah blah blah. You gave them one thing for free they want more. Don't obsess over it. Ignore them and move on. And don't give free coupons to random people.
